Sporting brand Adidas and Lionel Messi have partnered to produce a 'Cloud White' Samba sneaker, representing his iconic 2022 World Cup title.

WHAT HAPPENED?
According to GQ Magazine, the shoes will be a 'Cloud White' leather with 'Purple Energy Ink' accents on the heel of the shoe as well as the iconic three-stripe branding of the sneaker. The name 'Samba' will be stamped in Gold across the shoe and the Messi logo – in lime green – will be placed on the tongue of the shoe.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The sneaker is set to represent the Argentine's recent accomplishment that many attribute to him finally achieving GOAT status. Along with a World Cup title, he received his eighth Ballon d'Or in 2023 – the most of any player in the history of the game.

Per the report, the shoe is set to be released into the market globally 'very soon' with an estimated price of $127 (£100). As for Messi, he returns to the pitch with Inter Miami next week, with his first competitive match of preseason coming January 19 against El Salvador.
